Juba, South Sudan, January 29, 2025—Ministry of Health Hosts Dynamic Fourth Annual Review Meeting for World NTD Day 2025
The National Ministry of Health, collaborating with key stakeholders dedicated to combating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), is convening its fourth annual review progress meeting. This meeting will assess the advancements made in the NTD program and collaboratively address the challenges encountered in the fight against these diseases.
This gathering's primary focus is to evaluate the current status of endemicity, drug distribution, and coverage, as well as activities related to Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention (MMDP) across various states and counties. The meeting coincides with World NTD Day, underscoring efforts to raise awareness, advocate for resource mobilisation, and promote integrated strategies that address NTDs, cholera, and challenges related to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
The Annual Review Meeting (ARM) is a crucial platform for stakeholders to review achievements, tackle challenges directly, and develop innovative approaches to improve the delivery and sustainability of NTD interventions. Through collective efforts, this initiative aims to strengthen the fight against NTDs and ultimately enhance health outcomes for vulnerable populations, contributing to a healthier future for all.
