KUAJOK, WARRAP STATE – In a significant step toward revitalizing the nation's healthcare landscape, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Health, along with key international partners and donors, conducted a comprehensive field mission to Warrap State this week.

The mission was designed to evaluate the real-world impact of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP) and to identify strategic areas for improvement in the delivery of essential medical services.

High-Level Engagements in Kuajok

Upon arrival, the delegation was received by the Warrap State Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Anthony Wek Garang Wek. The team proceeded to the State Secretariat for a formal briefing with the Acting Governor, H.E. Aluel Garang Garang (Deputy Governor).

Discussions centered on the state’s progress in aligning local health initiatives with the national transformation agenda, emphasizing the government’s commitment to decentralized, high-quality healthcare.

Assessing Frontline Facilities

Following the leadership briefings, the mission team conducted on-site assessments at two critical facilities:

Kuajok State Hospital

Gogrial West Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC)

The assessment focused on vital indicators of health system strength, including staffing capacity, drug supply chain management and storage, and overall facility performance. Beyond the technical review, the delegation engaged directly with health workers and community members to ensure that the reforms are meeting the actual needs of the people.
