<p><strong>JUBA | April 30th , 2026</strong> &mdash; The Ministry of Health is pleased to announce that the distribution of essential medical supplies under <strong>Circle 4</strong> of the <strong>South Sudan Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP)</strong> is successfully underway. This critical operation ensures that life-saving commodities reach health facilities in every corner of the country.</p>

<h3>&nbsp;</h3>

<h3><strong>Current Distribution Progress</strong></h3>

<p>The Ministry has confirmed that supplies have already been successfully delivered to the following regions:</p>

<ul>
<li><strong>Lakes State</strong></li>
<li><strong>Warrap State</strong></li>
<li><strong>Unity State</strong></li>
<li><strong>Greater Pibor Administrative Area</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Furthermore, additional consignments are currently in transit and are expected to arrive within the week in:</p>

<ul>
<li><strong>Abyei Administrative Area</strong></li>
<li><strong>Northern Bahr el Ghazal (Aweil)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Western Bahr el Ghazal (Wau)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ruweng Administrative Area</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>The Ministry is currently finalizing the &quot;picking, packaging, and dispatch&quot; phase for the remaining states to maintain the momentum of the delivery schedule.</p>

<h3><strong>Strengthening the National Health System</strong></h3>

<p>The <strong>HSTP</strong> is a government-led initiative supported by a consortium of international donors and the World Bank. It represents a strategic shift toward a more resilient and sustainable healthcare system, moving away from fragmented emergency interventions toward a unified, national service delivery model.</p>

<p>The project currently supports over <strong>800 health facilities</strong> and thousands of <strong>Boma Health Workers</strong> to ensure that even the most remote communities have access to quality care.</p>
