<p><strong>JUBA, South Sudan | February 26, 2026</strong> — The journey toward a more resilient and accessible healthcare system in South Sudan took a significant step forward today. The World Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, officially launched a two-day <strong>Orientation Workshop for the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP) Project Management Unit (PMU)</strong>.</p>

<p>Running from February 26–27, 2026, this intensive training is designed to sharpen the technical and operational expertise of the PMU and key Ministry of Health (MoH) personnel. As the nation moves toward a more integrated health model, these sessions ensure that the teams leading the charge are equipped with the tools necessary for excellence.</p>

<p>Opening the workshop, <strong>Dr. John Rumunu</strong>, the Director General of Policy and Planning, delivered a compelling charge to the participants. He noted that the HSTP is not just a project, but a "vital roadmap" for the nation's future.</p>
