Ministry of Health Receives Domestic Donation for Kidney Dialysis

Juba, South Sudan – September 19th, 2024 – Ministry of Health has received a domestic donation of 5 million SSP from Col. Lorovicko Maker Acinpuou Deng, a goodwill ambassador and officer of the South Sudan People's Defense Forces (SSPDF).
In a significant act of goodwill, the South Sudan Ministry of Health has received a domestic donation of 5 million SSP from Col. Lorovicko Maker Acinpuou Deng, a goodwill ambassador and officer of the South Sudan People's Defense Forces (SSPDF). The funds are specifically allocated to cover operational expenses for kidney dialysis at the Al-Cardinal Kidney Hospital.
Colonel Lorovicko Maker expressed his commitment to supporting kidney patients through this donation, emphasizing its positive impact on their care. This generous contribution will enable Al-Cardinal Kidney Hospital to continue providing essential services to those in need.
“We are deeply thankful to Col. Lorovicko Maker Deng for his exceptional generosity and unwavering support. The magnitude of this gift is unparalleled,” stated Honourable Dr. Harriet Pasquale, Undersecretary of the South Sudan Ministry of Health.
Dr. Pasquale further acknowledged the transformative nature of Col. Maker's donation, highlighting its importance for the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality care to patients requiring kidney treatment.
“We owe Col. Maker Deng profound gratitude for the positive difference he has made. Our patients and the community will continue to benefit from his kindness and generosity, thanks to this transformational gift,” Dr. Pasquale reiterated.
To formally announce this significant domestic donation, Dr. Pasquale convened a meeting in her office, attended by Santino Majak Deng, the ministry's Director General for Administration and Finance, and Khamis Bol, the Undersecretary's Office Manager.
